Top 10 Lies Told to Beginning Artists, Designers & Illustrators..
“Do this one cheap (or free) and we’ll make it up on the next one.”
“We never pay a cent until we see the final product.”
“Do this for us and you’ll get great exposure! The jobs will just pour in!”
On looking at sketches or concepts: “Well, we aren’t sure if we want to use you yet, but leave your material here so I can talk to my partner/investor/wife/clergy.”
“Well, the job isn’t CANCELLED, just delayed. Keep the account open and we’ll continue in a month or two.”
“Contract? We don’t need no stinking contact! Aren’t we friends?”
“Send me a bill after the work goes to press.”
“The last guy did it for XXX dollars.”
“Our budget is XXX dollars, firm.
“We are having financial problems. Give us the work, we’ll make some money and then we’ll pay you.”
So I don't really know where Ford's affiliation comes in to this one, I mean obviously they're daddy with the cash moneyz behind it all, but Why?
Well I'm not gonna bother worrying about the details, all I know is that their are some really cool businesses (restaurants, clothing, music, etc) sponsoring the event (and hopefully gettin PAID by Ford). Anyhoo, its like a sampling of cool stuff from all different areas in San Diego.

Last summer, The Tenderloin Project represented an inquisitive look by Sean Desmond into San Francisco’s poor and marginalized Tenderloin district. The project also featured a collaboration withBlack Scale. Part 2 to the original collaboration will take place later next month with five new t-shirts set to release. A print show will take place on April 9th, 2010 at the Medicine Agency as it focuses on a number of collaborative prints which include the likes of Mike Giant and Mark Bode among other creatives. That video I just posted reminded me that Massan just had an art show in SF too. The show looked really cool from the pictures I saw, but I didn't have a chance to make it to Ever Gold Gallery while I was there.
These pieces are from an artist named David Grant who is currently being shown at the Gallery. Next time I'm in SF I will not make the mistake of missing this gallery again.
